3months ~where does the time go

I know it's been a week, but last week was kinda crazy! So last week we went to our first Stars and Strollers movie at the movie theatre, after crying for the first 15 mins (and being the loudest kid in there i might add) she settled down and slept through the rest of it. Erin and I had a good time even though the movie sucked and its not bad at all if you dont mind crying babies through your movie (and at this point I dont mind at all especially when its not my kid crying). We going again today with Erin and Natalija to see that Nicholas Sparks movie.

Camryn spent her first overnight visit all by herself with Grandma and Grandpa this weekend while Matt and I went to Carrie and JF's wedding. Pretty proud of myself, didnt call once the whole night!!

What else to tell, still obsessed with pulling herself up, she's really grabbing at things now (including mommy's hair) and pulling them to her mouth. She also really enjoys the Bumbo seat and sits up really well in it now.

Well gotta go get ready for the movie (that doesnt start til 1) while she is still sleeping.

Loathing

So I completely and totally loath myself right now!!! Do you ever make a rule for yourself and swear your never gonna break it and then when you do you couldnt be more ashamed. I always knew that until I actually had kids that all those things I judged other people for that I would end up doing. Yesterday after upteen 5-10 min naps where i would just put her down and she'd wake up fresh as a daisy and refuse to go back to sleep and then get cranky and cry and refused to be put down unless entertained, I was ready to go insane. So I did it!!! I tore into the Baby Einstein sign language video I bought her for xmas (thinking at 6mons 2o mins of educational video isnt so bad) and I plopped her down infront of it. Of course she loved it! I just needed a few minutes to get things done, its not like I had a bath or read or even cleaned (yes I am trying to convince myself not you that I am not a horrible mother), the child had no bottles and no formula preparred for her to eat for her feeding in an hour. And yes I could do it all while holding her but it gets very messy and takes twice as long. When Camryn screamed bloody murder in the car for several weeks my mother suggested getting a portable DVD player and baby einstein for the car, of course I gave her the "are you crazy look?" and kept believing Camryn would not be infront of the tv at this age. So I caved, mother you were right (i know you like to hear that), but I still loath myself!!

Too Cute

Weekend was uneventful, Camryn and I met a friend for lunch on Sunday and then headed to another friend's baby shower. Camryn had to wear her new sweater and matching outfit from Grandma, she looked way too cute. Now that its getting colder trying to fit in her many many summer outfits is getting very difficult, this really bites because she has soooo many of them. There are tons of outfits that she has only worn once and some that are still too big and she hasnt even worn. On the up side this means I get to go out and get her new fall clothes which in a girl's world (mom or not) is exciting.

On another good note (at least for my sanity) is that nap time is getting a bit easier, two days of no tantrums (i know they say babies cant throw tantrums but you've never tried to put my child to sleep). It takes about 15 mins longer of cuddling and downtime but there has been limited screaming in our house for 2 whole days!!!

Matt is away this week in London for work so its just me, Camryn and Boden. Kim is coming tomorrow to hopefully finish the last touches on Camryn's room, so we will have some company tomorrow. Anyone else wants to drop by, feel free.

Now I am gonna try and squeeze in a shower before the sleeping angel wakes up:)

On the Move

Well Camryn is now 12 weeks (and 2 days if we're being accurate) and has pretty much mastered the art of rolling over onto her side. If you put her on her back you can guarantee that she wont stay there. Went to our second Mom and baby exercise class yesterday, just in time for me to heal from last weeks class, I could barely get up and down the stairs my thighs were killing me from the squats. If your baby is sleeping then they tell you to use the weights instead, well they give you two 5lbs weights to use - my kid weighs over 12lbs. This week we worked on upper body so Camryn spent lots of time flying through the air. We have met some really nice people at the class, I swear having a kid is the easiest way to meet people.

Since I havent posted in a couple of days I tried to make up for it with a video of Camryn rolling over on her side. The things that entertain you when you become a mom!

Would you Rather....

Have you ever played that game "would you rather...", where you have to decide between to horrible things. Ask me now if I would rather listen to my daughter scream for 40 mins everytime we get into the car or the screaming that I endure everytime I try to put her to sleep during the day. I'd go back in time and take the horrible screaming car trips in a second!! It's been one of those days, she screamed for the 30 mins I had to get ready before we had to go to her pictures, then cried and fussed at Jen's house and has only slept maybe 1.5 hrs all day and has been relatively cranky for the rest of the time. Thankfully she smiled through her pictures.

At the moment I am walking around on pins and needles as she is lying in her crib watching her mobile, keep your fingers crossed for me that she will go to sleep for just a little while.

Cowgirl Camryn

This picture wouldnt load with the last post.

Start of another week

After a weekend of visiting we are back to the daily business of attempting to get things done at home, which is usually unsuccessful. The "barracooda baby" as i know like to call her is gnawing and sucking on everything she can get her hands on, which is only hands (hers and mine) and your neck, shoulders and face if she gets close enough to u. She is holding her head up on her own most of the time now and by next week the "Bumbo chair" will be a great addition to our furniture. She has also become obsessed with pulling herself up, she's getting stronger all the time (i will post a video of it this week).

Gotta go cuz my thumb is sore from being chewed on and somebody needs a diaper change.

Exercise Class

Yesterday Camryn and I had our first exersice class at the Y. Camryn seemed to enjoy herself (kinda), it was close to naptime and she was a bit tired. She did fall asleep about 3/4 of the way through the class which was nice cuz the rest of the babies were crying by then. I am definitely paying for the lazy lifestyle that I live today, my legs feel like dead-weights. I am really looking foward to next weeks class. We booked Camryn's first pictures for next week at Sears so hopefully she will be in a good mood and smile at least once for the pictures but with my luck she'll be cranky.

Heading to Great Grandma's tomorrow for our 5 generations picture and to visit.

Have a good weekend!

We Have Returned

After several complaints about the Totspot blog I have decided to return to this one. Since we are spending more time at home now that a certain Aunt (i wont mention any names) has left us to go globetrotting I hope that I can be a little more punctual with my posts. This week its just been us two girls and Boden while Matt was away in Windsor for work, managed to sneak out 2 days in a row for lunch with the girls from work. Matt says he cant believe how much stroger her neck is in only 3 days, she is obsessed with trying to pull herself up now. Also very exciting (not to anyone else but me and the dog) I have managed to walk Boden and Camryn all by myself, Camryn loves going in the harness to look at all the trees and Boden is so greatful just to get some exercise, plus it gets us out of the house for a little bit. Today we are off to our first Mom & Baby exercise class and then hopefully to meet Matt for lunch in Peterborough. Keep your fingers crossed that she likes it and behaves herself :)

Gonna go pack the diaper bag and get dressed while Sassy is sleeping.
